American Office Hosts Chair Hockey Tournament to Benefit Business Volunteers of Maryland

8/23/17

American Office, a Herman Miller Certified dealership in MD, DC, and VA, will host the American Office Aeron Hockey Tournament on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Power Plant Live! Plaza located at 34 Market Place in Baltimore, MD. With news correspondent Omar Jimenez serving as event host, guests will get to enjoy the action, live music and discounted refreshments provided by Power Plant Live.

From 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Baltimore area businesses are invited to compete against one another in a 16 team tournament to support Baltimore City Schools through Business Volunteers of Maryland’s PENCIL Program. Seated in iconic, award-winning Herman Miller Aeron chairs, competitors will partake in a single elimination game of hockey where the winner takes home bragging rights and a prize trophy while other participants qualify to win classic Herman Miller pieces.

“This event is an excellent opportunity to bring together the Baltimore business community and support the Business Volunteers of Maryland,” said American Office President David Kuntz. “The tournament will allow for some of Baltimore’s best to get out of the office, have a great time with co-workers, and support a great cause.”

Participating sponsors include Allegis, Merritt Properties, Gorfine Shiller & Gardyn, Barcoding, Inc., Gensler, Venable, Inc., Arris Design, BBVA Compass Bank, The Cordish Companies, Ammon Heisler Sachs, GWWO, Inc., and SC&H. Each sponsor will represent a Baltimore City PENCIL program school, with school members even competing on some of the teams. The winning team will also win a furniture package for the school they represent.

General admission tickets are on sale through September 20, 2017. For tickets, sponsorship information, and more details, visithttps://americanoffice.com/news/2017/aeron-hockey or call 410-539-7529.
