Patrick Ricard is going old-school as he tries to buck the odds and make the Ravens 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie.
Ricard has become an unlikely two-way player, working at both nose tackle and fullback, and that versatility could go a long way toward landing him on the right side of the roster bubble when the Ravens trim theirs to 53 Sept. 2.
The Ravens liked Ricard enough as a defensive lineman that they moved quickly to sign the University of Maine product after the draft. Assistant coach Greg Roman approached Ricard during OTAs about giving fullback a try.
