Electric Motor Repair Company (EMR), a leading provider of service, repair, installation and sales to the commercial kitchen and industrial motor sectors, announced today that Joseph Byrne has been named as the new operations manager of its Baltimore branch. In his new role, Byrne is responsible for operations out of EMR’s headquarters, including leading more than 30 technicians, four dispatchers, two tech support team members and two sales team members.

Prior to joining EMR, Byrne held a variety of positions within the industry over the last 20 years, including most recently as facilities coordinator with ADF Companies, food equipment & refrigeration service manager at Remco, Inc., and refrigeration/HVAC supervisor at Keeney Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration.

Byrne holds numerous certifications adding to his expertise in the field, including State of Maryland HVAC/R License, Environmental Protection Agency Universal Refrigeration Technician Certification, CFESA Electric, Gas, Steam & Water Quality Certification, ESCO Institute 410A Certification, and numerous Manufacturer and Maintenance trainings. He has completed various management and leadership trainings across his career as well, preparing him for operations manager within a large company like EMR.
