Shoppers at Harford Mall will once again enjoy a Tax-Free holiday! The Tax-Free Week runs Sunday, August 13 – Saturday, August 19. The State of Maryland will provide exemptions on qualifying clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less; and on the first $40 of a backpack or book bag purchase.

In addition to the Tax-Free week, Harford Mall is sponsoring a back-to-school sweepstakes for all mini-fashionistas heading back to class this fall. Submit photos on Instagram or Twitter using #MYBTSSWEEPS and be entered for a chance to win one of four $500 shopping sprees and be featured on Harford Mall’s website.
“Tax-Free Week is a great opportunity for shoppers to save even more while they shop for back-to-school essentials, and many stores are offering special discounts in addition to tax free savings,” said Alicia Easley, Marketing Director at Harford Mall. “We know that shopping for the perfect first-day-of-school outfit is a tradition in many families. We want to give our customers the opportunity to show off their kid’s back-to-school style and help them build their back-to-school wardrobe with a shopping spree at some of the property’s best retailers.”

- To enter, entrants must submit their back-to-school photo on Instagram or Twitter using #MYBTSSWEEPS
- Entrants must be under 18 to be considered
- Accounts must be public to be entered
- Winners will be notified on Monday, September 18, through direct message on the channel the photo was submitted (i.e. a contest entry posted on Instagram would be notified via direct message on Instagram that their submission was selected as a winner)
