Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore hotel, located in Baltimore’s beautiful Inner Harbor, today announced the appointment of Amy Muller as business travel sales manager for the property. In her new role, Ms. Muller will be responsible for proactively prospecting new clients, growing current client accounts and working with the management team to strategically market Royal Sonesta Harbor Court in the corporate and association arenas. In addition, she will plan and execute hotel presentations and site inspections, negotiate rates, attend tradeshows, and help facilitate outside calls and business sales trips.
Ms. Muller has over twenty-three years of experience in the hotel arena. Prior to joining Royal Sonesta Harbor Court, she worked from 1997-2017 at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore City. She began as the national account manager for associations and then was promoted to the business travel sales manager where she maintained and grew accounts, assisted with the training of employees, helped in the development of strategic marketing plans and mentored sales and support teams. During her tenure, she received accolades for her sales achievements in generating more than 100% of her budget four years in a row. From 1994-1997, she was employed at the Sheraton Baltimore North as the assistant director of sales/business travel sales manager and was responsible for prospecting, maintaining and growing the corporate transient market through targeted business plans and sales and marketing initiatives.
Ms. Muller received sales and marketing training through Essex Community College and belongs to a number of professional organizations including the Baltimore Washington Business Travelers Association, the Global Business Travelers Association and the Hotel & Sales Marketing Association.
She has received awards for her work to include a 2014 Starwood Hotels & Resorts Business Transient Salesperson of the Year/North America and Starwood Hotels & Resorts MVP- Transient GSO Partner.
