Here are this week's rankings:
1. Los Angeles Dodgers (74-31 overall record, No. 1 ranking last week) -- The Dodgers went all-in with the acquisition of right-hander Yu Darvish from the Texas Rangers and left-handed relievers Tony Watson from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Tony Cingrani from the Cincinnati Reds. I have a sense they tired of the Orioles' slow-to-the-draw pace on closer Zach Britton. A solid deadline day for president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and company.
2. Houston Astros (69-36, No. 2) -- General manager Jeff Luhnow is a master builder, but he gets a failing grade for his only deadline-day move being the acquisition of left-hander Francisco Liriano.
