Chesapeake Urology, one of the nation's leading urology practices, announced that it has formed a partnership with Central Maryland Urology Associates (CMUA), effective July 1, 2017. This partnership includes the practice's medical office and the Columbia Urological Surgery Center located in Columbia, MD. CMUA has assumed the Chesapeake Urology brand name.
"Through this union, Chesapeake Urology continues its expansion throughout Maryland, and enables Chesapeake Urology to further expand its existing integrated model of care in Howard County," stated Sanford J. Siegel, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Chesapeake Urology. "The physicians of CMUA have been providing high quality urology services to patients in this area for more than 40 years and we are proud to have them continue to do so as part of the Chesapeake Urology team."
The six physicians of CMUA have joined Chesapeake Urology and will continue to care for patients in their existing Columbia office. The physicians are: Marc B. Applestein, M.D.; Jennifer L. Bepple, M.D.; Kevin B. Blumenthal, M.D.; John J. Kishel, M.D.; Frank M. Nezu, M.D.; and Alejandro Rodriguez, M.D.
