Five Fantasy Football Draft Trends For 2017

Training camps have started, and I have been doing mock drafts for almost six weeks. Here are some trends and strategies I am using and seeing. These mocks have mostly been done in PPR formats and against "fantasy experts."

1. Quarterbacks are deep, so wait.

The Los Angeles Chargers' Philip Rivers, New York Giants' Eli Manning, Oakland Raiders' Derek Carr and Washington Redskins' Kirk Cousins are just some of the players I routinely grab in rounds nine through 11. Even the Tennessee Titans' Marcus Mariota and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Jameis Winston have fallen that late in some mocks. As I said before, the Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers is the only quarterback I would take early -- but never before the third round.
