Glenn Clark: Thoughts On 'Fixing' All-Star Game, Home Run Derby, Fox In-Game Interviews And More

Much of the baseball media was in Miami this week for the All-Star Game, and there was a boatload of news on both the local and national levels. Here are five storylines that are being bantered this week and my thoughts on them. That's, well, that's about it. I guess that's not my most exciting lede ever. Need excitement? Listen to the Baby Driver soundtrack while you read the column. Now let's get to it.

1. There is no topic more popular during All-Star week than trying to "fix" the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. They're fine. Pick a new topic. Perhaps an investigation into whether Pharrell knew Manny Machado was going to raid his hat closet before the All-Star Game?

Everyone has their ideas. PressBox's Glenn Younes thinks MLB should tweak the seeding in the Home Run Derby. ESPN's Buster Olney thinks star players should stay in the game longer. Baseball tried an insane experiment with World Series home advantage for 14 years.
