7/11/17

Polaris Alpha announced today that it will host the 10th Annual Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Golf Outing on September 14, at Ruggles Golf Course, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The event begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start, and ends with closing ceremonies at 3 p.m.

This special event is one of TAPS’ largest fundraising activities and has raisedmore than $520,000 for the families of America’s fallen soldiers over the last 9 years. Last year’s tournament was a sellout event that raised more than $94,000 and surpassed sponsorship goals with 32 total sponsors. Polaris Alpha is expecting another sellout event this year, with the goal of raising $100,000.

“Seeing the event grow each year is an honor, and I am excited to see the impact we can make for military families,” said Peter Cannito, CEO, Polaris Alpha. “We are privileged to be part of such a meaningful organization that provides support to families across the nation.”

New opportunities for specialty sponsorships have been added this year. Specialty sponsorships are limited to one per company. To become a sponsor, register a player, or learn more about the event, visit http://www.taps.org/ polarisalpha/.

TAPS is a private 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable corporation, and contributions to the golf event are partially tax deductible.
