Matt Slatus
Matt Slatus joins Harford County Community Leadership Board
The Y in Central Maryland is pleased to announce the addition of Matt Slatus to the Harford CountyCommunity Leadership Board. The board promotes and supports the Y’s mission and programs in the local community, and raises funds to support the Y’s community outreach activities and scholarship programs.
Slatus is the general manager for the Aberdeen IronBirds baseball team, where he oversees business operations for Ripken Baseball’s food and beverage service, facilities and groundskeeping, and special events. He began his career in baseball in 2003 as a minor league clubhouse manager with the Texas Rangers. Since then, he has served in various roles at such places as Major League Baseball’s Office of the Commissioner, Madison Square Garden and Goodyear Ballpark.
Slatus, a New Jersey native, received a Bachelor of Science in sports management from New York University and a Master’s of Sport Administration from Ohio University’s School of Sport Administration. He resides in Baldwin, Md.
