Ryan Fredriksson

The National Aquarium is pleased to announce Ryan Fredriksson has joined the organization as its government affairs representative.

In this role, Fredriksson works closely with the National Aquarium’s vice president of government affairs to plan and coordinate legislative strategies that will support and advance the Aquarium’s goals as a leading conservation and education organization, and as a top destination located in the heart of Baltimore’s vibrant Inner Harbor.

“Ryan’s experience working with state and elected officials and community leaders, and his talent for legislative research and writing makes him a perfect fit for this position and the Aquarium team,” said Jennifer Riggs Driban, the National Aquarium’s vice president of government affairs.

Fredriksson joins the Aquarium following three years at the Schaefer Center for Public Policy where he worked as a graduate fellow and, most recently, a research analyst. As a research analyst, he was responsible for preparing written and oral testimony, managing communications between the Center and state officials, and organizing events, including candidate forums, policy conferences and fundraisers. In addition to his work with the Center, Fredriksson has served as a legislative aide to Senator James Brochin of the Maryland General Assembly and worked with local and state elected leaders in various roles as a student at Towson University.

Fredriksson graduated magna cum laude from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in political science and history in 2013, and most recently, from the University of Baltimore in 2016 with a Master of Public Administration.
