Former Ravens linebacker Zach Orr, a breakout star last season who retired in January because of a congenital neck/spinal condition, is considering a return to the NFL after receiving encouraging medical advice, but it's possible that won't be in a Ravens uniform.
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who first reported Orr's possible return, Orr would be an unrestricted free agent because he never filed retirement papers and the Ravens did not place him on the reserved/retired list nor tender him as a restricted free agent.
"I spoke with Zach yesterday, and he informed me that he would like to continue to play football. He is a free agent." Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said in a statmement released by the team.
