On Thursday May 25, 2017 the Jewish Museum of Maryland was proud to welcome incoming new board members: Alan Dorenfeld, Shelley Goldseker, Bonnie Heneson , Lola Hahn, Skip Klein and Abe Kronsberg.
In the coming year, the board’s responsibilities will include determining the Museum’s mission and purposes, ensuring adequate resources, managing resources effectively, ensuring that programs and services advance the Museum’s mission and enhancing the Museum’s legal and ethical integrity and accountability.
Marvin Pinkert, Executive Director of the JMM said “We are excited to see the breadth and depth of expertise and passion expand in our Board of Trustee with this year’s incoming class. I look forward to working with the entire Board to continue the great work and growth we’ve seen over the past several years.”
The Jewish Museum of Maryland, America’s leading museum of regional Jewish history, culture and community, is located in downtown Baltimore, blocks from the Inner Harbor. At the JMM visitors can uncover the roots of Jewish history in their landmark historic sites – the Lloyd Street Synagogue, built in 1845, now the nation’s third oldest surviving synagogue and B’nai Israel Synagogue, built in 1876 and still home to a vibrant congregation. Their Museum Campus includes three exhibition galleries featuring fascinating and diverse exhibitions that explore in depth, the Jewish American experience. The Museum offers a wide range of programs and special events for children, adults, and families as well as a research library and family history center.
