Zach Britton Continues To Progress Well In Rehab

Orioles Closer Zach Britton continues to make excellent progress in the recovery from his left forearm strain. Britton pitched a hitless seventh inning for Low-A Delmarva, walking one and throwing 11 pitches June 24.

The Orioles are hoping Britton, who is on the 60-day disabled list, can return July 5.

Britton is scheduled to pitch June 26 and June 29 for Double-A Bowie, and then throw again for Class-A Frederick June 30. A final tuneup with Triple-A Norfolk is also planned.

That would give Britton, who has thrown once for Class A short-season Aberdeen, and twice for Delmarva, seven appearances, basically replicating a spring training.
