Kevin Gausman Better, But Not Good Enough As Orioles Fall To Cleveland

After all the unsightly starts for Orioles right-hander Kevin Gausman this season, the one against the Cleveland Indians June 21 wasn't brilliant. But, grading on a curve, it was much better.

Entering June 21, Gausman had a 6.60 ERA and had allowed at least eight hits in seven consecutive starts.

Gausman improved greatly, but it wasn't enough, as the Orioles dropped a 5-1 decision to the Indians before 26,596 at Oriole Park.

Gausman gave up one hit in the first three innings, and in the fourth, the first two batters reached on a walk and single before Gausman retired the next three batters.
