Baltimore Mayor, Catherine Pugh, appointed Barb Clapp, Founder, CEO, and President of Clapp Communications, to the Board of Directors for both Lexington Market, Inc, and the Baltimore Public Markets Corporation which oversees and administers Baltimore’s six public markets.

Barb founded Clapp Communications an award winning, full service, public relations and marketing firm in 2001 after a successful media career. Barb currently serves on the boards of Signal 13 Foundation, Maryland Humanities Council, The Humane Society of the United States, and more.

“I am confident that (Barb’s) time and talent will be a major contribution in guiding the Board’s activities,” said Pugh in a letter announcing Clapp’s appointment. “I look forward to (Barb’s) commitment to serve the citizens of Baltimore City.”

Barb will officially start her board position in July 2017.
