During the first five innings of the Orioles’ game against the Chicago White Sox June 15, it looked as if a happy flight home was possible. Despite losing the first six games of an eight-game road trip, the Orioles had broken an 11-game road losing streak the night before.
For five innings, veteran right-hander Chris Tillman pitched acceptably, giving up only one run in a tie game. But he allowed three hits and a walk to the first four batters in the sixth, and his final line doesn’t look very healthy: five runs on 11 hits in five-plus innings.
