Andrew Hay and Andrew Jones

RMF Engineering announced today that it has appointed two new partners: Andrew Hay, PE, infrastructure electrical group manager and expert in medium voltage power and Andrew Jones, PE, project manager and national leader in utility master planning. Both Hay and Jones have successfully developed and maintained valuable client relationships for RMF and as partners will have an increased role in business development efforts for the firm.

“Andy Hay and Andy Jones have positioned themselves as leaders in their respective fields and used their expertise to directly enhance the success of the firm,” said Duane Pinnix president and CEO of RMF Engineering. “Their leadership skills, client management skills and technical skills are undeniably impressive — and when we see that type of talent, we foster it. I look forward to seeing how they bring their strong skills and critical thinking to our leadership team.”

As the electrical group manager for RMF’s infrastructure engineering team in Baltimore, Andrew Hay is responsible for managing a team that provides high reliability generation and distribution electrical engineering capabilities to the firm’s clients throughout the U.S. With more than 9 years of experience in medium voltage power, Hay has become a go-to leader for medium voltage electrical system design and has been instrumental in strengthening RMF’s portfolio in that market. As partner, Hay will support RMF’s project management program, help recruit experienced electrical engineers for the firm’s Ohio and Pennsylvania offices, and develop a training program to introduce Revit software in the firm’s Baltimore infrastructure division.

Hay is a registered professional engineer in 10 states. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from Alfred University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Andrew Jones is a mechanical engineer and project manager who has been at RMF for 20 years. He is an infrastructure utility master planner and has established himself as a national leader in utility master planning. His promotion comes after consistent successes in business development, marketing and project management, and after graduating from RMF’s Leadership Development Program. A seasoned speaker, Jones has presented technical papers at University of Maryland and the Greater Philadelphia chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers discussing campus utility master plans and energy savings strategies. He has also written several articles for Building Operating Management covering how bundling energy efficiency projects helps justify large capital upgrades, and how maintenance savings and deferred capital renewal may help justify HVAC investments. As partner, Jones will continue to develop and support new and long-term client relationships.

Jones earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
