Polaris Alpha has been named Government Contracting Company of the Year by the Maryland Tech Council (MTC). Polaris Alpha was given the award at the MTC’s Industry Awards Celebration (IAC) recently in Bethesda, Maryland.

Polaris Alpha has had a tremendous impact on the government contracting industry in the last year as it advances many mission critical technologies relating to the emerging warfighter domains of Space, Cyber and the Electromagnetic Spectrum. With 1,200 technical professionals company wide, including approximately 300 employees in Maryland, Polaris Alpha is a major employer at Department of Defense and Intelligence Community tech hubs located at Fort Meade and Aberdeen Proving Ground. In the last year, the Polaris Alpha team, with the support of its financial partner, Arlington Capital Partners, has rapidly emerged as a new leader in the high technology sector for national security solutions.

“We are extremely proud that Polaris Alpha was selected as the top government contractor by the MTC,” said Peter Cannito, CEO, Polaris Alpha. “It certainly highlights the tremendous effort and commitment on the part of our employees to innovate and deliver advanced technology solutions for our customers’ most critical missions.”

The IAC is the only awards ceremony that honors the best in Maryland’s technology and life science communities and is one of Maryland’s largest and most prestigious award ceremonies.
