Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson on Trump's Travel Ban, Terror Attacks and Competition with Airbnb

President Trump's calls for a travel ban are "frustrating," according to Marriott International (MAR) CEO Arne Sorenson.

While Sorenson it's appropriate for the U.S. to be focusing on security in the wake of recent terror attacks, he said it's important for the U.S. to also signal a welcoming message to travelers who come to the U.S. and spend money at hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Sorenson also comments on Marriott's efforts to incorporate technology into a traveler's experience, similar to how Panera Bread (PNRA) and Domino's Pizza (DPZ) have allowed customers to order food using their mobile devices.
