After Chris Tillman missed the first five weeks of the season with a shoulder injury, the Orioles hoped the return of the veteran right-hander, the one who started the three previous Opening Days, would cement their starting rotation.
It hasn't.
Tillman started for the fifth time since his May 7 return May 30, and this start was by far his worst.
After not surrendering a home run to the first 95 batters he faced this season, Tillman allowed two to the first three New York Yankees he faced, and things went south from there, as New York pounded the Orioles, 8-3, before 16,126 at Oriole Park.
