The longest Orioles losing streak in nearly six years came to an end thanks in large part to Dylan Bundy.
The right-hander, who has pitched at least six innings in each of his 11 starts, delivered his 10th quality start by allowing two run on seven hits in seven innings in the Orioles’ 3-2 win over the New York Yankees before a Memorial Day crowd of 40,242 at Oriole Park May 29.
Bundy (6-3) became the first Orioles starter to record a win in the past 18 games. The last Orioles starter to win a game wae Kevin Gausman, who defeated the Washington Nationals May 8.
The Orioles, who hadn’t lost seven straight games since dropping nine straight July 4-15, 2011, are 4-13 since the last time a starter won a game.
