For now, Ubaldo Jimenez will remain in the Orioles' starting rotation.

Jimenez, who had another rough outing May 22, has a 7.17 ERA and is currently scheduled to start at Houston May 28.

"Jimenez's next start is on Sunday, and we'll see what happens when we get there. That's when he's scheduled to start again," manager Buck Showalter said. "We take each day as it comes, and see where we are as a pitching staff after each outing."

Because of a scheduled off day May 25, right-handers Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy will get an extra day's rest, Showalter said.

Showalter indicated that a move to the bullpen for Jimenez isn't imminent because he pitched four-plus innings May 22 and couldn't be ready to pitch in relief for "two or three days, at least, maybe four. That decision, one way or the other, hasn't been made."
