By Bill Ordine, PressBox

Kentucky Derby winner and Preakness Stakes favorite Always Dreaming landed an ideal post position, the No. 4 slot, at the post-position draw May 17 for the 142d running of the middle jewel of horse racing's Triple Crown May 20. Always Dreaming, who is ridden by John Velazquez and trained by Todd Pletcher, is listed at 4-5 in the morning line odds.

Setting up a dramatic start, Always Dreaming's chief competitor, Classic Empire, snagged the No. 5 gate and is listed at 3-1. Classic Empire, who finished fourth in the Derby, is ridden by Julien Leparoux and trained by Mark Casse.

Ten colts will contend for 1 3/16th-mile Preakness Stakes.
