Johns Hopkins Baseball Rolls Into Mid-Atlantic Regional As Top Seed

The Johns Hopkins University baseball team is back in familiar territory.

The Blue Jays earned their second consecutive bid to the NCAA Division III tournament -- and the program's 13th in the past 17 years -- by winning the Centennial Conference championship. Head coach Bob Babb's team is the top seed in the Mid-Atlantic Regional, which will be played at PeoplesBank Park in York, Pa., May 18-22.

Johns Hopkins will open the double-elimination tournament against eighth-seeded Lesley University at 1:15 p.m. May 18. Shenandoah, Wheaton (Mass.), RIT, Alvernia, Elizabethtown, and SUNY Maritime are also in the eight-team Mid-Atlantic Region field.
