After missing two weeks with right shoulder tendinitis, catcher Welington Castillo is back in the Orioles' lineup May 16.
While Caleb Joseph seemed to rediscover his lost RBI stroke while Castillo was gone, the Orioles are a better team when Castillo plays.
In the first four weeks of the season, Baltimore was 12-5 when Castillo started. While he was out, the team went 6-5 in games Joseph started and 1-1 when Francisco Pena was behind the plate.
With a .315 combined average, the Orioles' catchers are the best in baseball, and the team was pleased to see Joseph recapture some of his power at the plate.
