Jessica Gorsky
Jessica Gorsky joined Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett and Scherr LLP as an attorney focusing her practice on estates and trusts and elder law. Her practice also includes business formation and taxation. Columbia-based CarneyKelehan has provided legal services to businesses, individuals and families throughout Maryland for more than four decades.
Although primarily based in the Columbia office, Gorsky will also be working with clients in the firm’s Annapolis and Westminster offices.
Prior to joining CarneyKelehan, Gorsky was an attorney for Walsh & Co. In her position, she focused on estate planning, litigation matters, guardianship pleadings and estate and fiduciary income tax returns. She presented “Medicaid—The Ins and Outs of Applying for Long Term Care Assistance in Maryland” at the Wealth Academy 2016 Seminar Series.
In her previous employment with Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin & White LLC, she administered probate and trust estates, conducted client intakes and drafted and recorded deeds for estate planning purposes. Gorsky also held positions at Stouffer Legal and other law firms.
She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, Baltimore City Bar Association, Howard County Bar Association, Howard County Estate Planning Council and the Women Lawyers as Leaders Initiative.
Gorsky earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in estate planning. She also received a Master of Laws degree in taxation coupled with an estate planning certification. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science and fine arts from Syracuse University. She lives in Owings Mills.
