Orioles closer Zach Britton is in Sarasota, Fla., to begin rehab on the left forearm strain that put the left-hander on the 10-day disabled list for the second time.
Britton, who was on the DL from April 16-May 2, came back and pitched two innings in Boston May 2 and 4, and a day later reported his forearm was again sore.
He had an MRI May 5 and another May 8 when he flew to Los Angeles to visit orthopedist Dr. Neal ElAttrache.
While an industry source estimates Britton will be out 45-60 days, Britton said ElAttrache didn't give him that figure, and he hopes to be back at the lower end of the estimate. If Britton is gone 60 days, he would return to the Orioles just before the All-Star break.
