Top-ranked Projects Represented by DLA Piper’s Maryland Real Estate Practice

5/1/17

Several major Baltimore-area matters represented by DLA Piper’s Maryland Real Estate practice were recently recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal in its annual ranking of top commercial real estate projects.

The completion of the 400,000-square-foot Foundry Row shopping center earned the number one spot in the retail division of the publication’s Best in Real Estate Inc. awards, while the completion of the 444,000-square-foot Exelon tower ranked first in the new construction category. Finally, Tradepoint Atlantic’s redevelopment of the former Sparrows Point steel mill received top marks in the industrial sale/lease division.

In selecting projects for the rankings, the publication considers their size and expense, as well as the benefit to the surrounding community, the creativeness of the development or sale and other factors including job creation and economic impact.

DLA Piper's Maryland Real Estate practice is fully equipped to offer a full range of services in areas including acquisitions and disposals, construction law, financing, commercial real estate, land use, planning and development, leasing, environmental law, insurance and tax.
