Ballard Spahr’s Baltimore office is celebrating its 25th anniversary, marking the occasion with a reception during the Light City Baltimore festival—one of many events and institutions the firm has helped as part of its commitment to the community.
Community service has been a hallmark of the office since it was established in 1992. Our Baltimore attorneys serve on the boards of dozens of area nonprofit organizations addressing issues ranging from homelessness and economic development to sustainability and the arts.
They also contribute their legal skill through pro bono service to numerous civic and community organizations. Among them is the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA), a nonprofit agency that launched and manages Light City Baltimore—the first large-scale, international light festival in the United States. It features light installations, performances, music, and innovative attractions spanning the arts, technology, and cuisine. A reception on April 5 celebrated the firm milestone and the nine-day festival, which runs through April 8 at Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
