Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that Venroy K. July, counsel in Miles & Stockbridge’s Baltimore office, has been chosen by the law firm for a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.” The program has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011 and is considered one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 260 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.  

July represents clients in merger and acquisition transactions, private equity investments, financing arrangements, as well as general corporate matters and corporate governance issues. In 2014, he was named to the Baltimore Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list. He is a member of the board of directors of the National Academy Foundation, Baltimore chapter, and formerly served on the board of Live Baltimore.
