Marianne Schmitt Hellauer
Marianne Schmitt Hellauer, a partner in DLA Piper’s Baltimore office, was named to the Daily Record’s 2017 list of Top 100 Women. This is the second time she has received this award.
Hellauer was recognized both for her demonstrated excellence in providing DLA Piper client service and for her leadership in the community. Hellauer is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and past Chair of the Section Council of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Charities of Baltimore, the Board of Directors of the University of Baltimore Foundation, Inc., and the Johns Hopkins Lyme Disease Research Center Advisory Board.
Hellauer concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of estate planning for individuals and closely held businesses, the drafting and construction of wills and trusts, estate and trust administration, and charitable giving.
