Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Appoints Mike Morton to Board of Directors

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Inc. (JA), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people to succeed in an ever-changing economy, announced the addition of Mike Morton to its board of directors.

Morton, a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, provides audit and related services to a variety of companies, with an emphasis on aerospace and defense, technology and life sciences. Morton is one of Deloitte’s key consultative resources across numerous industries, including standard manufacturers, construction contractors, technology companies, professional service providers, pharmaceutical researchers and software developers.

“Mike brings a well-rounded skill set to our board,” said Jennifer Bodensiek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland. “JA will benefit from his experience and we are honored to have him as we continue to evolve and grow.”

Joining Deloitte in 1997, Morton has acquired almost 20 years of experience. He has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, working his way up from staff accountant to partner in numerous Deloitte locations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Baltimore.

Morton assumed his most recent role as lead client service partner for ManTech International Corporation in 2014, where he coordinates all services offered and provided to the company. He also operates as lead audit partner and engagement quality control review partner for multiple public and private entities, and serves as a supporting partner for Northrop Grumman Corporation, specifically at the Electronics Systems Sector.

Prior to his present roles, Morton has also served as the lead client service partner for companies including Huntington Ingalls Industries, TCOM L.P. and Vertis Communications. Morton earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Southern California in 1996, and is CPA certified in California and Maryland.
