Saul Ewing Elects Nine Attorneys To Partnership; Seven To Special Counsel

Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 260 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that it has elected nine attorneys to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2017:

Zachary W. Berk, a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice, resident in the Boston, Mass. office.  Mr. Berk focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, with concentration in business and real estate litigation. He represents many of the firm’s Boston Higher Education and Labor & Employment clients.

Alexander R. Bilus, a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice, resident in the Philadelphia, Pa. office.  Mr. Bilus represents clients facing complex commercial litigation across a variety of industries and practice areas. He is actively involved in the Firm’s Higher Education and White Collar and Government Enforcement practices, and also has extensive experience with First Amendment/media law.

Andrew T. Bockis, a member of the Energy and Environment and Natural Resources practices, resident in the Harrisburg, Pa. office.  Mr. Bockis is an environmental lawyer with significant experience in Pennsylvania environmental regulation, permitting and enforcement. 

Matthew S. Draper, a member of the Business & Finance practice, resident in the Pittsburgh, Pa. office. Mr. Draper is a corporate lawyer who focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions and other general commercial and corporate matters. He offers clients valuable counsel in Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust filings.

Geoffrey M. Gamble, a member of the Commercial Litigation practice, resident in the Baltimore, Md. Office.   Mr. Gamble concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on insurance disputes as well as shareholder disputes, class actions and Maryland REIT litigation. 

Christina D. Riggs, a member of the Commercial Litigation practice and Vice Chair of the Higher Education practice, resident in the Philadelphia, Pa. office.  Ms. Riggs focuses her practice on litigation, compliance, policy and liability issues under Title IX and the Clery Act.

Silvia A. Shin, a member of the Public Finance practice, resident in the Wilmington, Del. Office. Ms. Shin  works extensively with significant Delaware authorities, municipalities, school districts and 501(c)(3) organizations on all manner of financings. 

Mark A. Simanowith, a member of the Commercial Litigation practice, resident in the Baltimore, Md. office.  Mr. Simanowith concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, with significant experience in non-compete disputes and other emergency business litigation.

  • Karilynn Bayus, a member of the Health Care Practice, resident in the Philadelphia, Pa. office;
  • Richard B. Carroll, a member of the Business and Finance Practice, resident in the Wilmington, Del. office;
  • Emily H. Edmunds, a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice, resident in the Harrisburg, Pa. office;
  • Justin B. Ettelson, a member of the Business and Finance Practice, resident in the Philadelphia Pa. office;
  • Sean T. O’Neill, a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice, resident in the Philadelphia, Pa. office;
  • Kurt A. Van Derslice, a member of the Real Estate Practice, resident in the Baltimore, Md. office.
