February issue also celebrates month of love with annual Top Singles and feature on highly acclaimed photographer Connie Imboden
In Baltimore magazine’s February cover story, Ain’t the Beer Cold!, the editors name their top taprooms in Baltimore and beyond. The list features everything readers would want to know about the craft beer movement, including the expanding role of women in the craft beer industry, spirited stories from local lager lovers, and key terms to help you keep up with the beer nerds in your life.
“Beer and Baltimore have long been inseparable. Starting with pioneers like heave Seas and The Brewer’s Art in the ‘90s, the craft beer movement has now picked up steam in the earnest-to the point where almost every neighborhood has its own brewery,” said Jess Mayhugh, digital editor forBaltimore magazine. “Though the number of Baltimore area taprooms is ever growing, we’ve narrowed our list down to 20 favorites from the mountains to the ocean—and we even give you some gluten-free options.”
The February issued also includes The Puppet Master, a feature about world-renowned local photographer Connie Imboden who explains how exploring her unconscious became the inspiration for her latest work; and Appily Ever After, whereBaltimore’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes share with readers their thoughts on the new digital dating world, go-to dating apps, successful and unsuccessful pick-up lines, favorite anthems, and more.
Other highlights of the February issue of Baltimore magazine include Birdland South, a look at the city of Sarasota, an oasis for pristine white beaches and an impressive food and drink scene, plus it’s home to Orioles spring training games; Changing Lane, a story about how Filipino native Brittany Harlan, aka Lane Harlan, shaped Baltimore’s drinking and dining scene—and herself; and The Second Act,an in-depth look at how standup comedian Larry Noto changed career paths to preserve his father’s legacy.
