Howard Bank Names John M. Dezinno SVP, Commercial Real Estate Team Lead

Howard Bank, a locally owned community bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced that it has promoted John DeZinno to Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Team Lead.

DeZinno will be responsible for managing a team dedicated to business and loan development with commercial real estate sector companies in the Baltimore metropolitan area and adjacent markets. The team offers loans for residential development, commercial construction and income producing properties.

“With over 30 years of experience in real estate leadership, John was an obvious fit as team lead for our commercial real estate team,” said Mary Ann Scully, Howard Bank’s President and CEO.“John is a driven worker and an admired banking leader who is well-versed in the greater Baltimore area. He will have an immediate impact on the growth of Howard Bank’s commercial real estate sector.”

Before joining the Howard Bank team, DeZinno held various Vice President and Senior Vice President roles in commercial real estate divisions at M&T Bank, Susquehanna Bank, Bank of America and Provident Bank

As recent Vice President for M&T Bank in Baltimore, Maryland, DeZinno served the commercial real estate division in managing a diverse portfolio of loans on residential and commercial development. DeZinno’s focus on responsiveness, loan management and need-based business solutions helps form stable client relationships as part of a hard-working team.

DeZinno, an expert in his industry and a passionate community player, has also taken on several volunteer, board member and presidential roles in a multiple organizations. These organizations include the National Association of Home Builders, Northern Virginia Home Building Industry Association, Mortgage Bankers Association of Washington D.C., Maryland Building Industry Association, Home Builders Care Foundation, HomeAid Northern Virginia and the Lido Civic Club of Washington D.C. DeZinno was named 2014 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by the DC Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals for his work with HomeAid.

In 1980, DeZinno earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. He went on to study M.G.A. coursework at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1984 and graduated from Mortgage Bankers Underwriting School in 1985 established by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America; DeZinno also attended the Credit Training Program at Chase Manhattan Bank, New York.
