BioBuzz Announces Partnership with The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development and BioBeers

12/5/16

BioBuzz Workforce Foundation, Inc., a social community organization whose mission is to build a more connected bioscience industry in the region, today announced a partnership with The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development and the Frederick County Chapter of BioBeers Meetup group. This new collaboration will give Frederick companies access to BioBuzz’s BioHive Platform and showcase them as important components within the ecosystem.

“We are proud to announce that through this partnership, the BioHive will be available at no charge to Frederick bioscience companies. This will provide them access to online networking, collaboration, and information sharing with all companies across Maryland that are already using the system.,” said Richard Griffin, Director of Economic Development.

The BioBuzz BioHive is an online community platform for those seeking information about the regional biohealth industry and looking to connect directly with others in their field or around topics of interest. The platform is designed to connect those who are currently separated by geography, and enable the opportunistic collisions of ideas with the know-how to commercialize.

Along with access to the BioHive, BioBuzz is now working with BioBeers and The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development to promote local networking events and industry news. This partnership is aimed at bringing the Frederick bioscience community into the family of events that are already taking place in Montgomery County and Baltimore.

“BioBuzz would like to thank the Frederick DED and BioBeers for joining us in growing the Maryland biosciences community.” said Andrew Eckert, Chief Development Officer, BioBuzz. We’re excited to bring the BioBuzz community to Frederick and help put a much-deserved spotlight on their local companies.”
