John Rappaport and Ryan Gadow
The Y in Central Maryland is pleased to announce the addition of John Rappaport as senior vice president of regional health and wellness operations, and Ryan Gadow as regional vice president of health and wellness operations.
As senior vice president of regional health and wellness operations, Rappaport will provide operational leadership to the Y Centers in Arnold, Catonsville, Ellicott City and Pasadena. Rappaport comes to the Y with significant operational, membership, fundraising and program experience. For the past 26 years, Rappaport has served in various roles at the YMCA of Greater New York, most recently as the senior executive director of the Harlem YMCA. In this position, he also supervised four additional centers.
Rappaport holds a bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College, multiple YUSA leadership certifications, his Organizational Leader Certification and is a YUSA National Faculty member in Annual Giving.
As regional vice president of health and wellness operations, Gadow will provide operational leadership for the Y Centers in Parkville, Perry Hall, Towson and Westminster, as well as serve as the senior director at the Y in Towson.
Gadow comes to the Y with 21 years of experience working in a number of Ys and markets, including the Raleigh, Clearwater and Tampa Y associations. For the past seven years, he worked at the Valley of Sun YMCA in Phoenix, most recently serving as senior executive and association director of membership. Gadow holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and several YUSA leadership certifications.
