ACell Appoints Sally Maher, JD To Board

ACell, Inc. today announced that Sally Maher, JD has joined the company's Board of Directors. Maher is currently Edwards Lifesciences' Vice President of Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, Critical Care. Prior to Edwards, she served as Senior Vice President, Compliance and Government Affairs, for Smith & Nephew Endoscopy.

"Sally brings extensive experience in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research, Compliance, Business Development, Reimbursement, and Quality Control for industry-leading device and pharmaceutical companies to ACell's Board. Her background complements ACell's current Board of Directors, and her knowledgeable oversight will surely have a positive influence on the company's strategic direction," said Kyle Kerbawy, ACell's Chairman of the Board.

Maher will replace James Osborne on the ACell Board of Directors. Mr. Osborne will continue to advise ACell as a consultant on the current medical device reimbursement landscape.

Maher has also held positions with Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer Hospital Products Groups, and the US Food and Drug Administration. She has a BA in Bacteriology from Ohio Wesleyan University and a JD from the University of Baltimore.
