William Buttarazzi

Good Shepherd Services, a private non-profit residential treatment facility and non-sectarian school for adolescents from across the state of Maryland, today announced the appointment of William Buttarazzi of RCM&D as the chair of its board of directors. In this role, he will partner with Good Shepherd Services’ staff and the Sisters to shape the organization’s strategic direction as well as engage philanthropic support.

“Will’s appointment as chair coincides with Good Shepherd’s strategic plans to expand its life skills and vocational services for students, increase family services, and forge connections with community partners,” said Good Shepherd Services President and CEO, Michele Wyman.

Good Shepherd’s residential treatment center, family advocacy services, and alternative day-school serves adolescents— ages 13 to 21—with emotional, behavioral and psychological issues, commonly a result of significant traumas experienced in their lives. Good Shepherd Services’ mission is Love-In-Action and rests on the belief that “One person is more precious than a world.”

Buttarazzi is in his tenth year with RCM&D, a commercial risk management and benefits advisor, with growing responsibilities in the real estate practice as Client Executive and Client Manager. He also advises the insurance programs of multiple large not for profit organizations.

Buttarazzi is very involved in the Baltimore area non-profit community, serving as a key person and initial business manager in the establishment of the innovative Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a work-study high school serving over 300 students from low income families. With his appointment as Good Shepherd Services’ Board Chair, he remains devoted to assisting Maryland’s underserved, at-risk youth and an organization that has served youth for more than 150 years.

“I accept this role with a great deal of respect and admiration for the outgoing Board Chair, Frank Ryan. Frank was so dedicated to our mission that he walked across the country to raise awareness for Good Shepherd Services and the kids we serve. I have tremendous shoes to fill,” said Buttarazzi.

“Good Shepherd Services has such a beautiful mission. Through the professional care and support for kids and families we serve, dignity is restored and healing begins. I look forward to a bright future for Good Shepherd Services and invite others to learn more about this organization,” said Buttarazzi.
