MPT to broadcast regional Emmy® Award ceremony on July 1
The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) presented Maryland Public Television with four Emmy® awards during its 58th Emmy gala at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel on Saturday, June 25.
A three-hour broadcast of the Emmy Awards ceremony airs on Friday, July 1 at 8 p.m. on MPT2. The telecast is the first program to air on MPT2 in its new high-definition format.

The regional Emmy® Awards recognize work in 105 separate categories. The annual competition acknowledges achievement in areas including entertainment programming, news and documentary shows, and sports programming. There were 937 submissions for work produced in 2015, resulting in 317 nominations.
MPT earned 17 nominations in 12 categories and received Emmy® Awards in the following categories:

In the past decade alone, MPT productions and personnel have earned more than 60 regional Emmys®. Since its launch in 1969, Maryland Public Television has also been the recipient of four national Emmy® Awards.
The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts &
