Jemicy School Athletics Accepted into MIAA as Permanent Member

6/9/16

Jemicy School in Owings Mills is pleased to announce that the Upper School Athletic Program has been accepted into the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) as a permanent member.

Jemicy first entered the MIAA as a probationary member in the fall of 2014, when the Men’s varsity soccer, lacrosse and basketball teams competed in the "C" conference. The school now has two varsity sports per season with soccer and cross country in the fall, basketball and wrestling in the winter, and lacrosse and golf in the spring. This year, both the lacrosse and golf teams made the playoffs.

“We are very proud of our student athletes and their dedication to the program here at Jemicy. Being accepted as a permanent member of the MIAA is a great honor for the athletic department and the school as a whole,” said Jemicy Athletic Director Mark Palmerino. “This is an exciting opportunity for us to continue to build up our sports programs and bring in even more talented athletes.”
