Amyot and Clark to oversee operations of the new Y in Pasadena

The Y in Central Maryland announced today the promotions of EJ Amyot to district executive director and Nicol Clark to operations director for the Y in Pasadena. In these roles, Amyot and Clark will oversee the operations of the new Y in Pasadena, the facility acquired from Big Vanilla Fitness Clubs in April.

As district executive director, EJ Amyot will supervise the executive director for the Y in Pasadena. He has served with the Y for over 10 years, beginning his career at the Y of Metropolitan Washington as an assistant aquatics director and head swim coach. In 2015, he joined the Y in Central Maryland and most recently served as the executive director of the Y in Arnold. He holds the YMCA Organizational Leader Certification, teaches Introduction to Fiscal Management as a YUSA trainer, and is a faculty trainer for Y Lifeguarding. He is also a Rotarian with the Annapolis Rotary Club. Amyot graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in family studies.

Nicol Clark will provide leadership over the swim director at the Y in Pasadena and over both program directors at the Ys in Pasadena and Arnold as operations director, working to ensure robust and engaging programming serving all age groups in Anne Arundel County. She has been with the Y in Central Maryland her entire career, starting as a building advisor in 2002. She has also served as director of membership and program development at the Y in Catonsville and associate center director at the Y in Arnold. Throughout her career, Clark has managed membership development, trained and supervised Y associates and achieved consistently high quality control scores for member engagement and satisfaction, center cleanliness, safety and demonstration of Y core values.
