Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander Appoints Andrew J. Runge as Director of Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services

Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander, LLC (RS&F), a business consulting and accounting firm, today announced it has hired Andrew J. Runge, CPA/ABV, CFF, MBA, CFE, CVA as its director of forensic, litigation, and valuation services.

With over 25 years of experience in forensic accounting/investigation, economic damages, insurance and litigation support services, as well as business valuations, Runge joins RS&F from Circle Forensic Consulting, LLC, where he led a boutique forensic accounting, business valuation, and litigation services practice. His practice spanned various service segments in regions throughout the United States.

Runge has been deposed and testified in court or other judicial proceedings many times throughout his career. He has consulted on thousands of economic damage, construction delay, lost income, bodily injury, wrongful death, employee dishonesty, construction, and other insurance claims exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars in the United States and abroad. Runge also has prepared numerous business valuations of privately held companies as a whole and as partial interests. His expertise also includes forensic accounting, fraud investigation, and litigation support services including assistance in case analysis, preparation for trial, and expert witness testimony.

With Runge’s hiring, Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander is expanding its forensic accounting, litigation and business valuations service offerings. The firm’s expertise in forensic accounting includes economic damage analysis, fraud determination and embezzlement, divorce property settlements, reorganization and recapitalization, search for unreported transactions and assets, settlement negotiations, shareholder disputes, charitable contributions, compensation arrangements, goodwill impairment and more.

Runge also has a long history of consulting on insurance damage claims including loss of business income, loss of rents, fidelity and employee dishonesty claims, extra expenses, coinsurance calculations, out of sight inventory losses, builders risk and soft cost claims, surety and bonding claims, liability claims and subrogation assistance.

Situations where RS&F’s business valuations are provided include bankruptcies and liquidations, business reorganization, buy/sell agreements, economic damages, estate and gift tax planning, family limited partnerships, intellectual property, marital dissolution, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, purchase price allocations, shareholder and partner disputes, succession planning, and purchase or sale of stock.

Runge is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also a member of RAC Oversight Board at Carroll County Hospital. Runge earned his Bachelor of Arts from Whittier College and his Master of Business Administration from The Peter Drucker School of Management at the Claremont Graduate School.
