Gary Franklin, CPA, is a Partner in CohnReznick’s Bethesda, MD office and is a member the Firm’s Private Enterprise Practice. He provides tax, accounting, and advisory services to owners of closely held businesses across multiple industries, real estate entities, and high net-worth individuals. He has 30 years of experience, working both in public accounting and for publicly traded REITs. Gary is a licensed certified public accountant in Maryland and holds a Bachelor of Science, Accounting, from the University of Maryland. He is a board member and treasurer of the Montgomery County Students Construction Trades Foundation and a board member and finance committee member for Hospice Caring.
Cheryl V. Joseph, CPA, Partner, is based in the Firm’s Bethesda, MD office and is a member of the Firm’s National Tax Practice. She has significant consulting experience with both closely held middle market companies and large publicly traded Fortune 500 companies. Cheryl specializes in Corporate Tax, specifically Section 382 (NOL/Utilizations) analysis; Earnings and Profits analysis; Transaction Costs analysis; Structuring Asset Sales & Purchases and general corporate tax consulting. She is also experienced in financial statement accounting for income taxes (ASC 740 formerly FAS 109). Cheryl holds a Masters of Science degree from George Washington University and Bachelor’s degree from Howard University.
Pushpita Kotikalapudi, CPA, is a Partner based in the Firm’s Bethesda, MD office and is a member of the Firm’s Affordable Housing Practice. She has more than 15 years of public accounting experience with a client base that includes not-for-profit organizations, real estate developers, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) Funds, and LIHTC syndicators nationwide. She is involved in all functions of the audit including audit approach design, evaluation of internal controls, staff supervision, and financial statement review. In addition to her client-facing role, Pushpita is a Bethesda office liaison for the Firm’s women’s initiative – WomenCAN – and served as a member of the CohnReznick’s Learning and Development Committee. She is a member of several audit efficiency and training committees that continue to focus on improving audit processes and productivity for the Firm. She has also been a speaker at national real estate conferences on affordable housing and tax credit issues. Pushpita holds a Master of Accountancy from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India.
Blaise Moreland, CPA, is a Partner based in CohnReznick’s Bethesda, MD practice. He has more than 12 years of accounting and consulting experience in various industries, including commercial and residential real estate, construction, employee benefit plans, and a variety of middle market companies. He is involved in all functions of audits, including designing approach, evaluation of internal controls, supervising staff, reviewing detail test work, audit resolution and financial statement review. Blaise holds a Bachelor of Science, Accounting, and Bachelor of Science, Decision Information Technology, from the University of Maryland. He is a board member of DC Students Trade Foundation.
