Collection drive in partnership with the Welcome One Emergency Shelter (FCCAU)
Bel Air, MD - A kick-off for Harford Mall's partnership with Welcome One Emergency shelter is planned for TODAY at 3:00PM in Center Court. The kick-off will include commentary from Shelter representatives on homelessness in Harford County.
The collection drive will take place from today until February 29. Donations can be placed in the display area at Center Court. Mall representatives will be on-hand throughout the donation period to accept monetary donations to the shelter.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the Mall to provide some much needed assistance to our neighbors in Harford County," stated General Manager, Lauri Altman. "It is one small way that we as a community can give back to those who need it."
About the Welcome One Emergency Shelter
For the hundreds of homeless men and women in Harford County, the only place to turn is the Welcome One Emergency Shelter in Belcamp. Every night, 28 men and women are sheltered from the weather and the misfortunes of life in this full-service residence. Welcome One is the only emergency shelter in Harford County. The shelter is supported through generous donations from area churches, local businesses, special events fundraising by the devoted volunteers and government grants.
