According to a Dan Rodricks' tweet, Jay Hancock is leaving The Baltimore Sun.
Sources tell citybizlist that Hancock is leaving The Baltimore Sun to work for Kaiser Health News in Washington, D.C. covering health insurance companies.
Hancock has worked at the Sun for 18 years. He was previously with the Virginia Pilot.
The Baltimore Sun is also getting a new business editor, Chris Dinsmore, who starts on Monday. He was also previously at the Virginia Pilot.
Jay Hancock's Bio
Jay Hancock is a financial and economics columnist for The (Baltimore) Sun. Prior to starting the column in 2001, Hancock was The Sun's chief diplomatic correspondent in Washington. He has also served as the paper's economics correspondent and as business editor for the Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star of Norfolk. This is his third time as a Loeb finalist. Hancock holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor's in English literature from Colgate University.
