CHEVY CHASE, Md. -- Clearspring Technologies has completed a $17 million offering, raising the amount from 17 investors and adding to a $20 million offering closed last May.

The McLean, Va. company is backed by Institutional Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Rho Ventures, as well as Steve Case, Ron Conway, and Ted Leonsis.

Executives named in an SEC filing include executive chairman and co-founder Hooman Radfar, CEO Ramsey McGrory (formerly of Yahoo!), COO Gar Richlin (formerly of Advertising.com), and VP Michael McGowan.

Also named are board members Ted Leonsis, Tige Savage (Revolution) William Wise (MediaBank), Philip Bronner (Novak Biddle), and Harry Weller (NEA).

Clearspring named McGrory CEO last September. Before that, he led the Yahoo! U.S. data business.

Clearspring's AddThis platform helps publishers, services, and advertisers share and track digital content such as web pages, widgets, and videos to social networks, bookmarking sites, and blogs, and ore.
