We Recommend...

Everyone starts out the year with great expectations. They key to getting things accomplished is the ability to manage priorities well. Being organized, effective communication, and delegating are essential skills to effective work management, but I have found that many senior level people (executives - this means you!) know what they should be doing. Here are some suggestions on how to make sure they get to actually DO those things:
Don't Major in the Minors - We can't create more time - it's a finite resource. What we CAN do is get a bigger bang for our buck by directing our attention to the 20% of your customers, clients, employees, projects that give you the 80% of your success. Leverage your time more effectively by putting it to use efficiently.
Connect - Identify and network with the people who will be most helpful to you by first providing them with help and support. Be strategic about who you ar spending your valuable time with.
Invest in a Helper - There is nothing wrong with cleaning the house or running the errands yourself, but there is if you find that you don't have enough time for the things that really count. Hire a ‘gopher' and re-allocate that time.
De-Clutter - Clutter can obscure important things as well as distract you from what needs your focus. Take this first month to clean, clear out, toss, and put away so that your work space allows you to focus.
Smile - Stay upbeat. Keeping a positive mindset makes just about everything go better. Negative attitudes don't just affect you - they impact your colleagues.
Starting the year out with a fresh outlook is terrific. Don't let old habits prevent you from creating the future you envision.
